Ex-lovers Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor reveal why their relationship is not unnatural

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone during their promotions for Tamasha

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor fall in that bracket of people who have been friends, been in a relationship, been through a bitter break-up, and gone back to being good friends. Deepika's current dating scene has Ranveer Singh in it, while Ranbir is reportedly in a live-in with Katrina Kaif. As for their on-film relationship, Ranbir and Deepika are quite the average fan's much-loved jodi.
This chemistry that the couple shares hasn't come in a day for Deepika and Ranbir, though. In a recent interview to Hindustan Times, the actors were asked about the 'unnatural' nature of their current relationship.
On the subject, Deepika said, "It's not unnatural. We've not consciously developed what we have between us. It is what it is. I understand that people may find it weird; how we have an equation like this in spite of our past. But there's no formula to it. Nobody has told us how it should be. We're fortunate to have the equation that we do, and I think we are mature enough to understand that, for us, our work is our priority."
Reams of paper have been filled with ink and social media has seen a tornado of sorts ever since ex-lovers Ranbir and Deepika were seen together in the trailer of Tamasha. This is the second time after their break-up that the actors have reunited for the silver screen. Their 2013 film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, directed by Ayan Mukerji, was the first film in their post-break-up phase.
Now, Ranbir and Deepika are all set to take their viewers on a joyride with Imtiaz Ali's Tamasha. The film is scheduled for a November 27 release.

Deepika Padukone's wish becomes Ranbir Kapoor's command

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor

It was Deepika Padukone's wish to travel by train that became her "Tamasha" co-star Ranbir Kapoor's command, as both will be taking a train ride on Sunday to the national capital to promote their upcoming film.
The duo was originally supposed to travel by flight for the Delhi promotions. In a recent conversation, however, Deepika expressed her wish to travel by train as she had not done so in a very long time.
When Ranbir learnt about this wish of his co-star, he immediately got on to make the required arrangements. The flight tickets to Delhi were canceled and the team booked for an overnight train travel instead.
While both of them have traveled to Delhi a lot of times, it will be for the first time that they will get on an overnight train to cover the journey.
They will be leaving from Mumbai on Sunday afternoon and have already planned the things to do on this journey.
The hit pair reunites in Imtiaz Ali's "Tamasha" after 2013 hit "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani".
Presented by UTV Motion Pictures and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, "Tamasha" releases on November 27.

What Deepika Padukone Says About Working With Ranbir Kapoor

Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone has collaborated with Ranbir Kapoor on three films and the actress says that it is a pleasure to work with Ranbir as it has helped her evolve as a better person.

Ranbir and Deepika, who made their Bollywood debut eight years ago with Saawariya and Om Shanti Om, have also worked together in Bachna Ae Haseeno and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. They will also share screen space in Imtiaz Ali's upcoming romanceTamasha.

The 29-year-old actress loves the transformation Ranbir, 33, has undergone in the last eight years.

"It has been an amazing journey. Eight years ago we were raw, nervous. It was our first film and for no fault of ours we were pitted against each other. Today we are sitting and talking about a film as we are starring in it together," Deepika said in an interview.

"It feels nice to see the kind of person Ranbir has become, how talented he is, the kind of movies he is doing. I always say that working with him makes you a better person, a better actor. The passion he has for his work makes you work hard," she said.

Tamasha releases on November 27.

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s steamy kiss from Tamasha gives Censor Board the jitters!

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s steamy kiss from Tamasha gives Censor Board the jitters!

Everyone is in awe of Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s beautiful chemistry onscreen!Which is why their next outing Tamasha is already receiving such rave reviews! People can’t stop raving about how good the two look together, despite being former lovers! But if you’ve watched the trailer of Tamasha, you would know that the film also has a steamy lip-lock between the Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani couple! Well, let me tell you guys that this kissing sequence has unfortunately been DELETED from Tamasha! Yes, that’s right!
According to reports, Imtiaz Ali’s movie has been certified with a ‘U/A’ censor certificate and has been issued five cuts. One of these cuts is a lingering kiss between Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. Reveals an insider, The Censor Board found the kiss too hot to handle. Apparently it is the lengthiest kiss — even longer and more passionate than the one between Aamir Khan and Karisma Kapoor in Raja Hindustani.” Whoa! Now that’s some trivia we didn’t know. Really? Ranbir-Deepika’s kiss was SO long?
Reportedly, the remaining cuts in Tamasha have been made on dialogue basis, like for example you won’t get to hear Ranbir saying “Apna Haath Jagannath‘! Ahem! Adds the source, “They were fun lines — the way young people talk when in a group. At one point, a character makes a veiled reference to masturbation, which the censor board did not want. Din mein sister raat mein bistar — is one of the dialogues that did not receive a nod from the board. The CBFC said they were shocked at these innuendos in an Imtiaz Ali film. But we suggested that the board members listen to how the young speak in real life!”
Directed by Imtiaz, Tamasha is all set to hit the screens on November 27, 2015!

Ranbir Kapoor's message to ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone: Don't miss this

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in a still from Tamasha

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor might have ceased to be in a relationship several years back, but they still evoke feelings of admiration in their fans hearts - especially when they are together. The two actors shot to fame when the 2008 Bachna Ae Haseeno hit the screens, and ever since, their on- and off-screen equation has been the subject of many a discussion.
Soon, these ex-lovers will be seen together on the big screen in Imtiaz Ali's Tamasha. The music launch of Tamasha saw Deepika Padukone, director Imtiaz Ali, producer Sajid Nadiadwala interacting with the audience. While Ranbir was conspicuous by his absence, the actor had a surprise for his team. Kapoor joined the event via a video call from London.
His usual funny self, Ranbir didn't let an opportunity to compliment his ex-girlfriend and co-star Deepika slip by. When he caught a glimpse of Padukone, he said, "Tum pehle bhi itni khoobsurat thi... ya waqt ne kiya koi haseen sitam." For the uninitiated, here's that famous pick-up line from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Ranbir and Deepika's last film together:
The music launch also saw both Ranbir and Deepika, albeit divided by cities, matching their steps to the tunes of Matargashti. Tamasha is scheduled for release on November 27 this year.
